self interest

If only we are living in this world with a purpose that is for the goodness of everyone. I do not know how to define what good means. I do not know how to measure that something is good or not. But I go back deep inside me. If things annoy me then those things are not right.

There is one thing that has been annoying me, that is what I call self interest. This self-interest will make people act, react and talk for his/her interest only without having a look around them. Without considering if his/her interest is affecting others or not.

I would like to begin with a single charming and lovely woman who has moderate and modern way of thinking. So, she met this charming man on her age and they started to see each other. They have good communication one to another. They get along very well. They hang out just like any other couples. Talks, phone calls, smiles, laughs, thoughts, drinks and beds have been decorating their life.

One night stand, two-night stands and so on and so forth. I do not know where the missing link is or the missing information is, but that guy is married already. Honestly, I do not know if the woman realizes this or not.

Back to self-interest, you might say, “why did you start this with self-interest then? Are you trying to talk about moral instead of self-interest, Diyah?” Well, I am not trying to talk about moral. It’s just because somehow I feel that there is lack of information of who the man is. Maybe the man did not (have not?) mention to the woman that he’s married. If they really just want to enjoy things together why the man just says that he’s married?

It won’t change anything, right? Since they are both so modern and moderate (I might be wrong in interpreting modern and moderate). They still can see each other. They still can have one more (or two or three or four) night stand(s).

But, does it matter? You might say, “Look Diyah, this is a modern world. This is a new era. It is OK for us to sleep with married man or to sleep with another woman though we are married. As long as we are happy and we enjoy it. We do not need to say anything. We just want to celebrate these moments. We just want to express what’s deep inside us”

But have you ever thought of the man’s wife? Have you ever thought of your wife?

Have you ever thought of the promises that you have made in front of your God and beside your wife?

Does his wife care if her husband is cheating or not?

Please help me to understand that those things are acceptable and understandable. Please give me a reason for those. Just a reason that will allow everything that they have done.
Please, help me to understand that those things are right so that it won’t annoy me again.

Thank You for what You have done by making me annoyed, worried and puzzled at those times.
Shall I reveal those or I just wait?
