My (Your? Our?) Children

Children have been interesting creations of God for me for the last 8 years. They are so honest, open minded, straight to the point, playfull, and cheerful.

Some adults see them like a blank paper where they can write or draw anything on it. Yet, they are not carefull so that their writting and drawings have affected the white paper. When, the adults made mistake then they just throw away the papers.

Some adults see them like a pearl where we have to dive to get it. With great efforts they get it. Then they start to polish it to make it shine and never let it go.

Kahlil Gibran says different things about children.

Your children are not your children.
They are the sons and daughters of Life's longing for itself.
They come through you but not from you,
And though they are with you, yet they belong not to you.
You may give them your love but not your thoughts.
For they have their own thoughts.
You may house their bodies but not their souls,
For their souls dwell in the house of tomorrow, which you cannot visit, not even in your dreams.
You may strive to be like them, but seek not to make them like you.
For life goes not backward nor tarries with yesterday.
You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth.
The archer sees the mark upon the path of the infinite, and He bends you with His might that His arrows may go swift and far.
Let your bending in the archer's hand be for gladness;
For even as He loves the arrow that flies, so He loves also the bow that is stable.

I will end up asking you questions (again) but allow me to show you what has happened in Palestine then please allow yourself to think of what children are and what's best for best interests of the child ...
Allow me to ask you to put children as the subject of everything since they are the ones who will bear the burdens that we have created for them (unconsciously?)

School in Palestine!

the journey starts here in Hebron the children starting their day going to school to be faced with a checkpoint:

the soldiers prevent them from passing and give them orders to go homethe children try to challenge the soldiers and pass the checkpoint even younger ones try but in vain:

they end up having their classes in the street by the checkpoint

what an amazing spirit: the boys try a little bit harder they got shot at, and some arrested yet in their eyes you see determination and dignity if you have a heart at all you will pass this on to all your friends and MAYBE someone will realize what Palestinians go through everyay!!
